Description
Tasting Note
The nose is dark and alluring, with complex aromas of dark berry fruit, classic pencil shavings and whiffs of eucalyptus, aniseed and thyme. The blackberries, graphite and bouquet garni of the nose follow through onto a dense, brooding palate with hints of mint and cocoa powder. The mid-palate is deep, smooth and precise, showing a very fine tannin structure, with a wonderful balance between black fruit, lithe tannins and lemony acidity. Cedar, bay leaf and oregano linger on a focused finish.
